On the morning of the same day, former Minister Park paid respects at the grave of former President Kim within the Seoul National Cemetery and wrote in the guestbook, "I will keep in mind the saying that 'the best conversation is listening.'"
Former Minister Park said, "I visited President Kim Dae-jung, who laid the foundation of democracy in the Republic of Korea," and added, "I will engrave in my heart the President's words that the best conversation is listening and will surely achieve a great transformation of Seoul."
In the afternoon, she will attend the 'Policy Expo in Seoul' event hosted by the Seoul City Party. At this event, Woo Sang-ho, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, will also be present.
This is the first time that the two ruling party candidates running in the Seoul mayoral by-election will give speeches together at an official event.
The two candidates are expected to discuss their policy visions for Seoul through their respective keynote speeches.
