Various Benefits Including Discounts on Academies, Dining, Shopping, and Fueling
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced on the 27th that it provides various benefits such as discounts on academies, dining out, shopping, and fuel through the ‘Daja-nyeo Happiness Card’ for multi-child families.
The Daja-nyeo Happiness Card has been operated since 2008 through an agreement between the province and Nonghyup.
It contributes to creating a childbirth-friendly atmosphere by providing economic benefits to multi-child families to ease the burden of childcare expenses.
The card can be issued to families residing in the province with two or more children (including fetuses), where the youngest child is 13 years old or younger.
In particular, when using the card, various discounts can be enjoyed, such as 10% off academy fees, 5% off at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, 1,500 KRW per ticket at CGV and Lotte Cinema, and 3% off books at Yes24 and Kyobo Bookstore.
Additionally, 80 KRW per liter points are accumulated at GS Caltex, and when used at affiliated stores of the Daja-nyeo Happiness Card within the province, discounts range from 3% up to 20%.
Eligible applicants can apply by preparing the required documents and visiting the nearest Nonghyup Bank (including regional agricultural cooperatives).
The number of affiliated discount stores in the province, currently 764, is planned to be expanded to 3,500 by 2022 to allow multi-child families to enjoy more benefits.
Detailed information and the status of affiliated stores in Jeonnam can be checked on the Jeonnam Province Daja-nyeo Happiness Card website.
Yoon Yeonhwa, Jeonnam Province Population and Youth Policy Officer, said, “We hope the Daja-nyeo Happiness Card will be a help to families raising children,” and added, “We will create a Jeonnam where it is good to have and raise children through customized policies desired by multi-child families.”
Meanwhile, as of 2019, there are 95,543 households with two or more children in Jeonnam Province.
