[Asia Economy reporters Ryu Jeong-min and Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in will hold the first bilateral summit of the year with the President of Uzbekistan on the 28th. Considering the situation of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the meeting will be held via video conference.


Kang Min-seok, spokesperson for the Blue House, said on the 27th, "Uzbekistan is a partner country in the New Northern Policy, and cooperation has been expanded in energy, healthcare, digital sectors, and the friendly relations between the two countries have been strengthened. In this meeting, we plan to review the New Northern Policy and broadly discuss cooperation measures between the two countries regarding COVID-19."
