13 Local COVID-19 Infections Confirmed in Jeonnam... Total 735 Cases

Currently Conducting a Full Survey of 17 Unlicensed Educational Facilities in the Province... No Confirmed Cases So Far

According to Jeonnam Province on the 27th, from last night until now (as of 11 a.m.), 13 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 local transmission: 7 in Hwasun, 4 in Yeongam, and 2 in Naju.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Jeonnam has increased to a total of 735, with 672 cases of local transmission and 63 cases imported from overseas.

Among the cases in Hwasun, confirmed cases number 723 and 729 through 734 (6 people) were close contacts of Jeonnam cases 712 and 717, who are related to an administrative agency located in Hwasun, and tested positive after being notified and tested.

Additionally, one family member of Jeonnam cases 609, 610, and 663, who are Syrian nationals, tested positive during quarantine at a residential treatment center and was classified as Jeonnam case 724.

The four confirmed cases in Yeongam, Jeonnam cases 725 through 728, were confirmed to have had contact with Jeonnam case 669, who is related to a daycare center located in Yeongam.

Jeonnam case 735, residing in Naju, is a family member of Jeonnam case 632 and tested positive in a test conducted before the end of self-quarantine.

The province is conducting comprehensive testing of students and staff at 17 unauthorized educational facilities located in the province related to TCS International School operated by the IM Mission. So far, no confirmed cases have been reported from the test results.
