[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Engineering announced on the 27th that it is increasing profitability and achieving results in eco-friendly management based on digital technology.
Samsung Engineering developed a 3D design automation solution and applied it to projects, enabling design drawings and information to be checked directly on PCs or mobile devices without separate drawing prints. The 3D design automation solution is being applied to recently secured projects in Mexico, Malaysia, and others, and plans to expand it to all new projects secured in the future.
Samsung Engineering also announced that it has agreed with the client to deliver completion documents for the Thai Oil refining project currently underway in Thailand in digital file format. Most of the documents submitted to the client at the end of the project will also be provided in digital document form.
Samsung Engineering applies the international standard certification ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management systems to its headquarters, overseas subsidiaries, and all domestic and international projects, and manages data such as environmental planning, execution monitoring, waste disposal, water usage, and greenhouse gases through the environmental management system.
A Samsung Engineering official said, "Through company-wide digital technology innovation, we are increasing productivity and efficiency and accelerating ESG management, which has recently become a hot topic," adding, "We will generate stable profits through the commercialization of technology innovation solutions."
