[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Gwangjin District Council (Chairperson Park Sam-rye) research group, ‘Gwangjin Innovation Forum,’ held a meeting in the council briefing room on the 26th, officially starting its research activities.
The Gwangjin Innovation Forum (representative member Jang Kyung-hee) is an organization established last year to improve urban living issues closely related to residents' daily lives.
Led by Representative Jang Kyung-hee, members Jang Gil-cheon, Park Soon-bok, Kim Mi-young, Kim Hoe-geun, and Park Sung-yeon are active participants. They have visited urban living-related facilities such as cultural complex centers, Seoul Recycling Plaza, and Our Neighborhood Care Centers to raise interest and capabilities for solving local issues.
The meeting, which began with the establishment of an annual detailed schedule, continued with discussions for community development, and the members shared agenda items derived through communication with residents.
The main topics were closely related to residents' lives, including forest libraries, food waste treatment plants, and youth reading rooms, and a concrete roadmap was prepared accordingly.
Representative Jang Kyung-hee stated, “We will activate communication with residents, consider various urban issues, and strive to discover appropriate alternatives based on accumulated capabilities.”
She also added, “The ‘Gwangjin Innovation Forum’ is open to residents,” and “We welcome good ideas for the development of district administration at any time.”
