[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it will promote the creation of ‘Clean Jeonnam·Haenam Eutteum Village’ led directly by residents.
The creation of Clean Jeonnam·Haenam Eutteum Village supports the sustainable development of Jeonnam Province’s core policy, ‘Clean Jeonnam, Blue Economy,’ and aims to create a pleasant surrounding environment and beautiful scenery through voluntary participation of local residents from project planning to implementation and post-management.
A total project cost of 1.35 billion KRW will be invested by 2025, and environmental cleanup and landscape improvement projects will be carried out annually targeting 50 villages. Selected villages will receive 3 million KRW annually for three years.
An official from the county said, “We hope that through the discovery and active promotion of various projects, our county will become the cleanest leading county in Jeonnam,” and “We ask for the enthusiastic participation of the residents.”
