On the same day, Kwon pointed out through her Facebook post, "The Democratic Party also faces the same issues and challenges, so how is it possible to adopt an attitude that alienates the problem as if it happened to someone else, expressing shock and outrage?" The Democratic Party had issued a statement on the 25th, calling Kim's sexual harassment case "an incident beyond shock and one that cannot be tolerated."

She stated, "The incidents involving the Justice Party and former Seoul Mayor Park Wonsoon have shown that sexual violence can easily occur in concrete relationships regardless of the values and beliefs usually advocated," adding, "There is no room to criticize other parties. The Democratic Party must actively reveal the causes of repeated power-based sexual crimes and must not forget its responsibility to resolve them."

Furthermore, she added, "Especially now, the attacks on the victims related to the former Mayor Park's case have gone too far," and emphasized, "As a ruling party and a party that does not lose sight of progressive values, it is necessary to move forward not with outdated practices but with an attitude of reflection and introspection."
