[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, is launching an integrated inspection of facilities emitting environmental pollutants.
This inspection will focus on 209 sites, including priority management facilities and businesses that have not been inspected for two years, from January to December.
The city will concentrate on checking whether environmental pollutant emission facilities and prevention facilities are operating normally, whether operation logs are being maintained, and whether unreported emission facilities are in operation.
Businesses found violating regulations during the inspection will be reported and administratively sanctioned according to relevant laws to prevent recurrence, and violating companies will be publicly disclosed on the website.
Additionally, minor violations will be subject to first corrective action, with results required to be submitted, and small businesses will be encouraged to improve facilities and receive technical support.
A city official stated, “We will strictly crack down on any illegal acts such as environmental pollution without any tolerance,” and added, “We will continue to conduct guidance and inspections to realize a clean Miryang free of fine dust and to improve citizens’ quality of life.”
