In the Morning, Meeting with Lee Nak-yeon; In the Evening, Meeting with Lee Hae-chan... Park Young-sun, About to Announce Candidacy, Says "I'm Nervous"

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-sun expressed her feelings ahead of her announcement to run for Seoul mayor on the 26th, saying she is "nervous."

On the previous day, former Minister Park wrote on Facebook, "Tomorrow is #1. The first citizen report - Seoul mayor candidacy report," adding, "I am already nervous and my heart is pounding."

On the previous morning, former Minister Park met with Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and in the evening, she met with former party leader Lee Hae-chan.

After her meeting with Leader Lee, former Minister Park told reporters, "Leader Lee expressed his hope that the Democratic Party's direction and planned policies be explained to citizens through the Seoul mayoral election," and added, "I also said I would do my best and work hard in the election."

Late that night, former Minister Park wrote on Facebook, "Leader Lee Nak-yeon encouraged me, saying, 'The joint schedule of candidates Woo Sang-ho and Park Young-sun at Namdaemun Market has further raised the party's presence.'"

In the evening, she greeted former party leader Lee Hae-chan.

Former Minister Park said, "Former party leader Lee Hae-chan said, 'You worked hard taking charge of the difficult Ministry of SMEs. Whether a Seoul mayor candidate is suitable depends on whether they can be trusted,' and shared his election experience."

On the 26th at 11 a.m., former Minister Park will officially declare her candidacy for Seoul mayor at the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido. The announcement, held in the form of a citizen report meeting, is expected to focus on overall pledges rather than just 'Park Young-sun’s Policy No. 1.'

On the previous day, former Minister Park visited a 'Smart Super' in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. When asked by reporters whether the first pledge would be related to small business policies, she said, "I will cover the overall issues."
