Hapcheon-gun Forms COVID-19 Vaccination Response Task Force

Led by the Deputy Governor, the Practical Promotion Team and Administrative Promotion Team, consisting of 6 teams including the Hapcheon County Medical Association, are organized and operated as a regional council

Choi Yong-nam, Deputy Governor of Hapcheon County, is holding a meeting to organize the COVID-19 vaccination response task force.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 26th that it has formed the 'COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team' to ensure smooth operation and safe vaccination of the COVID-19 vaccine scheduled to begin in February.

Led by Vice Governor Choi Yong-nam, the team is composed and operated with six teams from the Practical Promotion Team and Administrative Promotion Team, as well as local consultative bodies such as the Hapcheon-gun Medical Association.

The promotion team will be responsible for the rapid and safe implementation of COVID-19 vaccination, including establishing vaccination implementation plans according to the issued vaccination schedule, setting up and operating vaccination centers, managing vaccine supply, and overseeing entrusted medical institutions.

The vaccination will target all residents of the county, prioritizing residents of group facilities and healthcare workers, and is planned to be completed by November, before the influenza season, starting from February, following the guidelines in order.

Vaccination sites will include vaccination centers and entrusted medical institutions. To facilitate residents, a vaccination center will be established at the county gymnasium, which allows for mass vaccination and has good accessibility.

Vice Governor Choi Yong-nam stated, "We will mobilize all available efforts to thoroughly prepare for vaccination to reduce the spread of COVID-19 damage and secure herd immunity to block community transmission," and urged, "We will do our best in promoting COVID-19 vaccination, including establishing vaccination centers and securing medical personnel."
