[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A prospective female college student was found dead with some of her clothes removed on a rice paddy ridge in Gongju, Chungnam, causing shock.

According to the Chungnam Police Agency and fire authorities on the 25th, at around 8:45 a.m., a resident reported seeing a person lying on a rice paddy ridge in Ssangsin-dong, Gongju.

When the police and 119 rescue team arrived at the scene, A (19) was already deceased.

A was found with some of her clothes removed, and the removed clothes were discovered right next to her.

Police investigation revealed that A had just graduated from high school and was waiting to enter university as a prospective college student.

The police requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.

They also plan to investigate the circumstances of the incident, including A’s movements, through witness statements and nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV).

The police stated, "There are no external injuries. No signs of homicide have been found," but they intend to keep all possibilities open, including homicide.

The autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on the morning of the 27th.
