[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] BMW Korea announced on the 25th that it will launch two online limited edition models at 2:06 PM on the 26th of this month.
The models are the 'New M550i xDrive Frozen Black' and the 'M340i xDrive Touring San Marino Blue,' both of which will be sold exclusively through the online sales channel, 'BMW Shop Online.'
First, the BMW New M550i xDrive Frozen Black is a special model commemorating the domestic launch of the New M550i xDrive, limited to only 25 units.
The exterior features BMW Individual Frozen Black Metallic paint, showcasing the unique matte finish color. The M Aerodynamic Package, M Rear Spoiler, 20-inch Double Spoke 668 M wheels, and M Sport Brakes are also standard equipment.
The interior is equipped with BMW Individual Piano Black trim, Alcantara headliner, and premium Merino leather seats, with both upper and lower dashboard finished in natural leather. Additionally, the M Sport leather steering wheel and M seat belts provide a sporty feel to the driver.
The New M550i xDrive Frozen Black is powered by an M TwinPower Turbo V8 gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 530 horsepower and a peak torque of 76.5 kg·m, paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Other standard features include BMW Laser Lights, Adaptive M Suspension, 4-zone air conditioning system, and ventilated seats. The price of the New M550i xDrive Frozen Black is 121.8 million KRW (including VAT, with a 3.5% individual consumption tax applied).
The BMW M340i xDrive Touring San Marino Blue is also limited to 25 units. BMW Individual 'San Marino Blue' is a color inspired by the 'San Marino Grand Prix' held at the Imola Circuit in Italy. Previously, it was only available on select high-performance models such as the M4 CS, characterized by its deep color and violet hues that appear depending on the angle of light.
The rear of the body comes standard with a black high-gloss rear spoiler. The interior features a dashboard finished in natural leather and M seat belts. The trunk cargo space expands up to 1,510 liters, offering the unique practicality of the only sports touring model in Korea.
The M340i xDrive Touring San Marino Blue is equipped with an M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 387 horsepower and 51.0 kg·m of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. It also comes standard with Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport Differential, and M Sport Brakes for a more dynamic driving experience.
Additionally, premium features such as BMW Laser Lights, Harman Kardon sound system, BMW Digital Key, and ambient lighting with light carpet function are included as standard. The latest driver assistance features, including Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View and Driving Assistant Professional, are also provided. The price of the M340i xDrive Touring San Marino Blue is 83.7 million KRW (including VAT, with a 3.5% individual consumption tax applied).
BMW Korea plans to sell other limited editions with high collectible value and rarity, including the BMW New 4 Series, M3, M4 First Editions, and BMW’s first electric vehicle model iX First Edition, exclusively through BMW Shop Online this year.
