[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Famous Chinese singers Zhang Bi Chen and Hua Chen Yu have confessed that "they have a child." The two had previously denied dating rumors once.

On the 22nd, Zhang Bi Chen (?碧晨) posted on her SNS, "I became pregnant in the fall of 2018. At that time, I was dating Hua Chen Yu, but I had no plans to give birth to the child or get married. So I was very confused. When I decided to have this child, I was so overwhelmed that I broke up with Hua Chen Yu without telling him about the pregnancy. Zhang Bi Chen concluded, "I am sorry for hiding this. It was to protect the child," and "Although Hua Chen Yu and I broke up, we are trying to reconcile for the sake of our daughter."

Later, Hua Chen Yu (?晨宇) also posted a lengthy message on his SNS, sharing his feelings.

Hua Chen Yu said, "Yes, we have a child," and "This child has healed me a lot since coming into my life. I am happy that heaven gave me such a special gift. It’s sudden but good."

He added, "We will create a healthy and joyful environment for the child to grow up in," and "Seeing the child makes me happy. She is really lovely and growing well. We didn’t reveal this earlier because things were a bit complicated, and I was worried fans might be concerned by unclear words. Also, we wanted the child to grow up in a stable environment without external attention."

He concluded, "Now that this has been revealed, I will accept all suspicions," and "This may have been sudden for fans, but I hope you understand."

Chinese netizens who received the news responded with surprise, saying things like, "I didn’t even know they were dating," "Is this right? They loved each other and had a child, but one ran away alone and only now is revealing it?what kind of logic is that?" and "Don’t glorify this; maybe they made up the story."

There are rumors that, following the recent shocking marriage, divorce, and surrogate birth allegations involving Zheng Shuang and Zhang Heng, "It seems both sides coordinated and are only now revealing this. They couldn’t have not known."

Meanwhile, Zhang Bi Chen, born in 1989, won the grand prize at the K-POP World Festival hosted by KBS in 2012 and previously was active as a member of the Korean girl group Sunny Days. Hua Chen Yu, born in 1990, debuted after winning Hunan Satellite TV’s 'Happy Boys' in 2013. In 2015, he appeared as a mentor on MBC Music’s Korea-China joint idol audition program 'Super Idol,' gaining many fans in Korea as well. The two had dating rumors in 2018 but denied them at the time.
