CJ O Shopping 'Funshop' Introduces Unique Products on Baek Ji-young and Yang Joon-il YouTube Channels


[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Funshop, a shopping mall operated by CJ O Shopping, announced on the 24th that it is conducting content commerce introducing unique products through the YouTube channels of popular celebrities Baek Ji-young and Yang Joon-il. Funshop explained that they expect promotional effects by linking differentiated product lineups and interesting idea products with popular content.


On the 21st, the YouTube channel 'Wanjeon Baek Ji-young' showcased content experiencing Funshop's indoor camping products. The content involved trying and introducing products with the recent trend of 'home camping' concept, such as folding chairs, wood-fired ovens, camping knives, flying squirrel blankets, and LED speakers. In particular, Baek Ji-young showed interest in Funshop's camping product PB 'Brooklyn Works' folding table.


Wanjeon Baek Ji-young is a channel where Baek Ji-young presents content about enjoying hobbies she has found, with about 78,000 subscribers. Funshop's content reached 20,000 views within one day of opening. Clicking the address in the pinned YouTube comment connects to the CJ Mall Funshop specialty store and Funshop mall special exhibition page, where products can be purchased.


Earlier, on the 14th, Funshop's content was also released on the 'Rebooting Yang Joon-il' channel. Yang Joon-il conducted a photo shoot with seven representative unique products from Funshop, including Lobby 539 hand drip, zero-gravity life chair, and Amiro lighting mirror, and shared his usage reviews. This content also recorded 100,000 views within two days of opening.


Rebooting Yang Joon-il has about 38,000 subscribers. CJ O Shopping reported that especially female viewers in their 30s and 40s or older are many, resulting in better-than-expected sales effects.


A Funshop official said, "Through differentiated content commerce attempts collaborating with famous celebrities' YouTube channels, we aim to secure new young customers," adding, "We will continue to present fun shopping services by linking with various content."
