The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted, "The rain falling in various parts of the country on the 24th will mostly stop around 6 a.m."
However, rain or snow will continue until 6 p.m. in Yeongdong, Gangwon, and until 9 a.m. in the northeastern mountainous areas and eastern coast of Gyeongbuk. Due to the easterly winds, very heavy snowfall may accumulate in the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon.
Expected snowfall by 6 p.m. is △Gangwon Mountains 5~20 cm △Northeastern Gyeongbuk Mountains 3~8 cm. In the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon, snowfall may exceed 30 cm, so caution is advised.
Strong winds are expected along the coast of Jeju Island, the coastal areas of Gyeongnam, and the southern coast of Jeonnam, so attention should be paid to facility management and safety accidents.
Sea waves will be high at 2~5 meters due to strong winds in the southern East Sea, eastern South Sea, waters around Jeju Island, and the distant western South Sea. On the East Coast, high waves caused by swells may hit breakwaters or sandy beaches.
The morning low temperatures on this day are expected to be △Seoul 1°C △Chuncheon -1°C △Gangneung 4°C △Daejeon 1°C △Cheongju 0°C △Daegu 5°C △Gwangju 4°C △Jeonju 3°C △Busan 7°C △Jeju 9°C.
The daytime high temperatures are forecasted as △Seoul 11°C △Chuncheon 9°C △Gangneung 8°C △Daejeon 12°C △Cheongju 11°C △Daegu 12°C △Gwangju 13°C △Jeonju 13°C △Busan 12°C △Jeju 12°C.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "Visibility will be reduced and roads will be slippery in areas where rain or snow falls, so please pay attention to traffic safety."
