[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will hold an online briefing session for the Village Community Resident Public Contest Project.
Guro-gu announced on the 22nd, "To enhance residents' sense of community and strengthen autonomous capabilities, we will carry out the Village Community Resident Public Contest Project again this year," and "We have prepared an online briefing session to guide residents about the project."
The online briefing session for the Village Community Resident Public Contest Project will be broadcast live on the Guro-gu Village Autonomy Center YouTube channel for one hour starting at 2 p.m. on the 27th.
The main contents include the village community project details, schedule guidance, activity videos, and an online Q&A session. Any interested residents can watch.
After the project briefing session, from February 1 to 15, Guro-gu will recruit participants (groups) for 80 village community resident public contest projects in 8 fields, divided into 4 types?Seed Stage, Sprout Stage, Execution Stage, and Specialized Projects?considering project understanding and participation experience.
The "Seed Stage" consists of "Neighborhood Unit Neighbor Making" and "Small Group Formation," supporting residents with no prior village community activity experience.
The "Sprout Stage" is an "Activity Support Project" supporting resident activities on various themes, targeting groups with village community experience.
The "Execution Stage" consists of the "Alley Environment and Culture Community Project," supporting environmental improvement and cultural creation for alley revitalization, and the customized "Village Living Project" for seniors (60 years and older) and single-person households (in their 20s to 40s).
For "Specialized Projects," the Resident Autonomy Committee carries out the "Happy Village Creation Project," and the Village Vitality Resident Operation Council conducts the "Village Vitality Activation Project."
The support amount ranges from 1 million to 4.5 million KRW per group in each field, and except for the Seed Stage, participants must bear at least 5% of the subsidy as self-funding.
Groups wishing to participate should prepare documents such as an organization introduction, project application/proposal, and local subsidy application form and submit them through the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center website.
Guro-gu plans to select recipients through document screening, project selection committee review, and local subsidy review committee deliberation, and post the results on the district office website at the end of April.
Meanwhile, Guro-gu operates a pre-consultation system during the application period. If you apply to the Guro-gu Village Autonomy Center, village support activists will provide guidance on the entire project, from planning to settlement methods.
A Guro-gu official said, "Through the activation of village communities, we can create livable villages, harmonious villages, and villages full of love," and "We hope many interested residents will participate."
