Huons Opens Website for 'Betterderm MD Cream'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Huons announced on the 22nd that it has opened the website for its hospital and clinic-exclusive skin care product, ‘Betterderm MD Cream,’ and is launching full-scale marketing activities.

Betterderm MD Cream is a ‘transparent wound dressing’ used to protect the skin on areas where the skin barrier is damaged, such as first-degree or minor burns and dry skin. High-purity beta-glucan extracted from the mushroom Trametes versicolor helps strengthen the skin barrier. By applying patented refining technology, endotoxins in the beta-glucan are removed, reducing skin irritation. It has been confirmed to cause almost no irritation, receiving a ‘grade 0’ in both skin irritation and skin sensitization tests.

The website provides an introduction to the Betterderm MD brand along with detailed information and features of Betterderm MD Cream. Additionally, it offers a ‘Find a Hospital/Clinic’ service that provides information on medical institutions where Betterderm MD Cream can be prescribed, as well as a Q&A service for those seeking consultation about the technology, features, and products of Betterderm MD Cream.

Since February last year, Huons has been distributing Betterderm MD Cream, which was used for skin protection and moisturizing at burn specialty centers, to general hospitals and clinics as well. Betterderm MD Cream is a Class 2 medical device certified by the Korea Medical Device Safety Information Center and is eligible for reimbursement under actual expense insurance claims.
