Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Holds Ontact Corporate Meeting

The Ontact corporate meeting was promoted to maintain and strengthen ties with companies through a non-face-to-face meeting using an online video conferencing app in a situation where face-to-face events, which were suspended due to COVID-19, could not continue.

As an online method that can overcome regional limitations, about 40 companies and institutions from Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk participated.

Among the representative companies, 33 companies including Oisolution Co., Ltd., a global small giant specializing in the production of optical communication transceiver modules, and 9 cooperative institutions such as the Gwangju Job Comprehensive Center participated.

This was promoted to raise interest among companies and the public so that veterans who have served the country and the people and have been discharged can settle stably in society.

The program was composed of content that is practically helpful in understanding veterans, such as watching promotional videos and the current employment status of veterans.

A representative of the Gwangju Veterans Support Center said, “We aim to help discover suitable jobs for veterans through corporate-friendly activities by continuously holding online and offline meetings in accordance with COVID-19 conditions.”
