[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church, who is touring churches nationwide to preach for the 'March 1st National Rally' event, visited Daegu on the 21st and unleashed sharp criticism against the Moon Jae-in administration.

On that day, Pastor Jeon held a press conference at Dongdaegu Station Square in Daegu, spewing abusive remarks such as "Moon Jae-in has lost his mind," "My (Jeon Gwang-hoon’s) arrest is under North Korea’s orders," and "President Moon Jae-in said, 'Arrest Jeon Gwang-hoon and bury him underground.'"

He also claimed, "The dismissal of Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa was also under North Korea’s orders." The day before, on the 20th, President Moon Jae-in decided to abruptly replace Minister Kang. Former National Security Office chief Chung Eui-yong was appointed as her successor.

Pastor Jeon explained the reason he preached without a mask at a church in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do on the 19th, saying, "I have already contracted the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) once, so my blood is full of antibodies."

He then asked, "I am the world’s best quarantine person with antibodies, so why did Moon Jae-in take off his mask (during the New Year press conference)?"

Referring to the so-called 'Hyo-sun and Mi-sun incident' in 2002, where two girls were killed by an armored vehicle operated by the U.S. Army stationed in Korea, he said, "It was the first traffic accident in Korea involving U.S. troops stationed here," adding, "Because the communists kept making noise, even President Bush apologized over a traffic accident that happened while the world’s greatest country was helping another country in Korea."

He then claimed, "Why did that happen? It was all under North Korea’s orders."

At the press conference, church officials and some congregants gathered, shouting "Amen" and "That’s right."

Since the 17th, Daegu city has applied social distancing level 2, banning gatherings and protests of over 100 people. Health authorities and police are currently investigating whether Pastor Jeon and the event organizers violated COVID-19 quarantine rules.

Meanwhile, Pastor Jeon is touring churches nationwide, preaching in preparation for the 'March 1st National Rally.'

On the 19th, he preached at a church in Jeonju under the theme "Rise up, Jeollabuk-do." During the event, which was live-streamed on a YouTube channel, Pastor Jeon was seen without wearing a mask on camera.

At this preaching event, held with the church doors closed to block outsiders, Pastor Jeon said, "Was all development in Jeolla Province done by left-wing governments or right-wing governments?" and "(Jeolla Province) must quickly abandon Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in."

He also claimed, "Led by Moon Jae-in, the entire Republic of Korea is struggling to turn into socialism and communism, so the people have finally caught on," adding, "To stop this, we are praying and appealing before God, rain or shine."
