Grand Prize in Industry-Academia Cooperation ... Contributions to Promoting Academic Encouragement, Spreading Invention Culture, and Supporting Foreign Workers' Settlement

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Professor Je Jae-yong of the Department of Radiology at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected as the ‘First Academic Person’ at the ‘8th Korea Knowledge Management Awards.’
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) announced that Professor Je was awarded the grand prize in the industry-academia cooperation category at the awards ceremony held on the 19th.
The Korea Knowledge Management Awards recognize individuals who have led knowledge management, sharing management, green management, and ethical management in various fields such as politics, economy, society, culture, education, sports, arts, and volunteer work, contributing to the national happiness index (First Mover & Fast Follower). The award is given to leaders in each field.
Professor Je Jae-yong, as the head of the Startup Support Center at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, planned and operated various startup programs to enhance creativity among university students and youth.
He was selected as an awardee in recognition of his contributions to encouraging academic activities in the radiology field by supporting various external activities and promoting the culture of invention at the university.
Professor Je has also contributed to fostering youth invention awareness and creating a healthy local community through his roles as Vice President of the Korea University Invention Association, Executive Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Radiological Society, and full member of the Open Medical Society.
He has also engaged in educational and medical volunteer activities to help foreign workers in the Yeongnam region, who are in welfare blind spots, settle into Korean society.
Professor Je Jae-yong expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank those who organized the Korea Knowledge Management Awards ceremony despite the difficult national circumstances,” and added, “I will devote my efforts to supporting creative activities and startups for youth and university students.”
