10% Special Discount Effort to Revitalize the Local Economy
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 20th, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will launch a rechargeable check card-based mobile card called the Card-type Goheung Love Gift Certificate.
The Card-type Goheung Love Gift Certificate was introduced to expand distribution by resolving the inconvenience of paper gift certificates and to protect small business owners struggling due to COVID-19 and revitalize the local economy by preventing illegal distribution.
The card-type gift certificate can be purchased and recharged without an annual fee through the smartphone app ‘Local Gift Certificate chak (Chak)’, and for elderly residents or those who have difficulty using smartphones, card issuance and recharge services are provided at local agricultural and livestock cooperatives.
Like paper gift certificates, the Card-type Goheung Love Gift Certificate can be purchased up to 500,000 won at a special 10% discount on the face value until the end of February, and users can also enjoy a 30% income deduction benefit when using the card.
The Goheung Love Card can be used at Goheung Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores equipped with card readers, and the stores where the card can be used can be checked by accessing the ‘Local Gift Certificate chak’ app.
Also, when using the card, the gift certificate recharge amount is used first, and if the amount exceeds the recharge amount, or when used at non-affiliated stores, for postpaid transportation cards, or in other regions, payment is made from the linked check card account.
A county official stated, “In the With-Corona era, by providing a contactless recharge method, we expect the convenience of residents to improve and the local economy to be further revitalized through gift certificate use and good consumption activities.”
