Elevator Industry Complex, Elevator Test Tower Detailed Design Review Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 20th that the Elevator Safety Technology Institute held the 'Final Report Meeting for the Architectural Design Service of the Elevator Industry Complex Hall and Test Tower.'
The detailed design report meeting was hosted by the Korea Elevator Safety Corporation, with participation from County Governor Goo In-mo, Chairman Kim Young-gi, and members of the Elevator Hub City Development Project Promotion Committee, who explained the progress of the project, architectural design overview, and future plans.
The global elevator hub city development project is a large-scale construction project with a total budget of 32 billion KRW, including national and provincial funds, located in the elevator specialized agricultural and industrial complex in Namsang-myeon.
The elevator industry complex hall and dormitory test building are three stories high, and the elevator safety tower is approximately 125 meters tall. Construction began in April and is scheduled for completion in September 2022.
The elevator industry complex hall will establish a research and testing center equipped with specialized elevator facilities, an education center, and various equipment rentals, as well as a conference hall capable of accommodating more than 400 people.
Governor Goo stated, "Once the elevator industry complex hall tower is completed, it will enable elevator training, safety certification, and industrial tourism. Based on the elevator industry foundation, we will actively attract anchor companies and small and strong enterprises to develop Geochang into a global elevator hub city."
