Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in utilizing Mokpo City's modern historical and cultural heritage from the Japanese colonial period as field experience learning sites, enabling students to design their future through understanding the past.
As a result of this agreement, students will have the opportunity to experience the future value of Mokpo, a cultural tourism city known as ▲one of Korea's four major tourism hub cities ▲a preliminary cultural city ▲Korea's first "City of Taste."
The two organizations will actively cooperate in ▲utilizing human and material resources for educational activities ▲sharing information and promoting various project planning and operations ▲field experience learning matters ▲development of field experience learning materials and program operations.
Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education collaborated with Jeonnam Province and the Jeonnam Rural Convergence Industry Support Center to operate the nation's first "Elementary School Homeschool Experience Box" program to alleviate the management difficulties of certified rural convergence industry businesses that have seen a decrease in visitors due to COVID-19.
Superintendent Jang Seok-woong said, "In the post-COVID-19 era, the spirit of solidarity and cooperation within the community is more essential than ever," adding, "Through this agreement, we hope to accelerate the realization of a sustainable Jeonnam education community and serve as a catalyst for Jeonnam's children to grow as masters of their lives in a better environment."
