[Photo] Seoul Gangseo Agricultural Cooperative Donates 1,000 Bags of 'Love Rice' to Gangseo-gu

Delivery of 1,000 Bags of 10kg Rice... Six Years of Good Deeds Since 2016

Noh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo District (fourth from the left), is taking a commemorative photo on the 20th (Wednesday) at the district office entrance after receiving 1,000 bags of 10kg rice from a representative of the Gangseo Agricultural Cooperative. The donated rice will be distributed to vulnerable neighbors, including elderly living alone and low-income families.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) received 1,000 bags of 10kg rice from Gangseo Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Han Myeong-cheol) at the district office entrance on the 20th.

The district plans to deliver the donated rice to neighbors in need, such as elderly living alone, single-parent families, and basic livelihood security recipients in the area, through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea.

The good deed of Gangseo Agricultural Cooperative began in 2016. Every year before the Lunar New Year holiday, they participate in helping neighbors and continue to donate rice. The total amount of rice donated to the local community has reached an impressive 6,000 bags (10kg) to date.

District Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, “We thank Gangseo Agricultural Cooperative for practicing sharing without fail every year,” and added, “We will make sure to deliver the rice you sent to neighbors in need of help.”
