[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Korean Air announced on the 20th that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Ko Jin-young (26, Solaire), the world No. 1 female golfer.
Korean Air held an Excellence Program sponsorship agreement ceremony at its headquarters in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended by Woo Ki-hong, President of Korean Air, and professional golfer Ko.
Under this sponsorship agreement, Korean Air will provide Ko Jin-young with complimentary Prestige class tickets when she uses Korean Air to participate in international golf tournaments and training until 2022.
Since 2006, Korean Air has supported outstanding individuals in various fields such as sports and culture and arts through the Excellence Program, enhancing national pride and recognition.
Currently, golfer Park Sung-hyun, tennis player Chung Hyeon, skater Jung Jae-won, and soccer coach Park Hang-seo are receiving support through the Excellence Program.
Since joining the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) in 2018, Ko has achieved a total of 7 wins and currently holds the world No. 1 ranking.
