[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul has remained in the 100s for the 13th consecutive day.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 20th, the number of new COVID-19 cases reported in Seoul the previous day was 143. Among the new confirmed cases in Seoul, 8 were imported from overseas, and 135 were locally transmitted. As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul has increased to 22,859.
Of these, 17,762 patients have been declared recovered and discharged, while 4,818 are currently isolated and receiving treatment. The death toll increased by 2 in one day, reaching 279.
The daily number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul entered the 100s on the 7th with 191 cases and has continued to remain in the 100s through the 19th.
