Dongjak-gu, Year-Round Operation and Rental of Village Media Center, Media Kit Box Rental

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is promoting the On(ON) Village project to support the activation of media communication among residents and village communities.

Due to the disconnection caused by COVID-19, exchanges between village communities have become difficult. This project was prepared with the purpose of sharing warm affection within the community and developing together through smooth communication using online platforms and media.

A new media category has been established within the village community contest projects to provide opportunities for village communities and residents to participate in media utilization. Village support activists who have received prior training on non-face-to-face platforms and media will offer pre-consultations and assistance with writing project proposals for the village community contest projects.

There will be an 'Online Village Instructor Training Course' to support the production of online lectures by village instructors, as well as media courses that anyone can easily learn, such as how to use media equipment at village autonomy centers.

Additionally, the On(ON) Village Studio and media kit box rentals will be provided to greatly improve residents' access to media.

The media kit box includes filming equipment such as a camera, tripod, ring light, square light, and microphone.

Reservations and rentals can be made through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Shared Nuri Portal, internet cafes, visits (Sangdo Community Complex Cultural Center, 40 Sangdo-ro 30-gil, Dongjak-gu), or by phone to the Autonomous Administration Division. However, rentals are only available to residents and communities who have given prior consent for their filmed videos to be provided to the Dongjak-gu Village Autonomy Center and used for promotional videos.

Furthermore, in cooperation with the Seoul Center of the Audience Media Foundation and the Seoul Village Media Support Center, village media network meetings and the city’s village media festival will be promoted to encourage resident participation.

Choi Hwanbong, head of the Autonomous Administration Division, said, “We hope to overcome the difficulties of face-to-face communication among village communities caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic through various media channels such as YouTube,” and added, “We will continue to promote various projects to support the growth of village communities and establish support systems.”
