First Runner Kim In-gi Issues 'Ingi Token'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheolhyun] Code States, a domestic IT talent development startup led by CEO Kim Inki, announced on the 20th that it is entering the 'Human Capital' market, which tokenizes the value of an individual's time, experience, network, and content into cryptocurrency for investment.
In the global market, 'Personal Tokens' that invest in people are gaining attention. A representative example is NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie receiving token investment backed by his income. Famous American rapper Lil Yachty also raised about 300 million KRW through the 'Yachty Token' named after himself to support his activities.
Code States explained that as an extension of talent development services investing in people's future and potential, it introduced the 'Human Capital' model to open the way for the general public to participate in investing in the value individuals hold. As the first experiment, it launched the 'Ingi Token ($INGI)' targeting CEO Kim Inki and officially started the service.
Currently, over 130 cryptocurrencies can be exchanged for Ingi Tokens. For example, as of the 20th, 1 Ethereum can purchase 29,330 Ingi Tokens. Ingi Tokens can also be converted back into Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies. The maximum supply is limited to 10 million tokens.
Buyers of Ingi Tokens receive rewards according to the amount invested. For instance, if a meeting, tea meeting, or consulting session with CEO Kim is needed, investing 5,000 Ingi Tokens will arrange the meeting. Since the pilot service started last month, entrepreneurs preparing startups have discussed personal meeting schedules with CEO Kim using Ingi Tokens.
Code States plans to expand the 'Intech' program, which allows stable investment in listed individuals and receiving rewards accordingly, starting with the Ingi Token case. CEO Kim said, "I hope many people will have various opportunities to digitalize their assets, gain social recognition, and have these become seeds for growth," adding, "Code States will take the lead in realizing the protocol economy in various fields as 'Human Capital' that directly invests in people's future and potential."
