[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that it has been operating the 2021 Real Estate Transaction Consultation Center since the 6th.
The Real Estate Transaction Consultation Center operates every Wednesday from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Civil Service Office on the first floor of City Hall. The consultation committee, composed of 12 real estate experts, provides customized real estate transaction consultation services to citizens.
Any citizen who wishes to receive consultation can visit the Real Estate Transaction Consultation Center or consult by phone.
Services include detailed advice not only on real estate transaction contracts but also on real estate law, precautions during transactions, and ways to handle disputes.
The Real Estate Transaction Consultation Center has been operating since 2014 and provided a total of 548 consultation services by the end of last year. The number of consultations has been increasing every year, from 18 cases in the first year, 2014, to 132 cases in 2020.
Last year, the types of consultations included 47 cases related to leasing, 37 cases related to taxes, 32 cases related to sales contracts, and 8 cases related to disputes. Among these, litigation disputes such as contract expiration or pre-sale rights were referred to Gwangju City's Free Legal Consultation Office, and housing lease disputes were directed to the Housing Lease Dispute Mediation Committee, enhancing citizen satisfaction.
Lee Su-won, Director of the Land Information Division of the city, said, “As there was much anxiety and unrest among citizens due to the sharp rise in real estate prices and the Housing Lease Protection Act at the end of last year, we hope citizens actively utilize the Real Estate Transaction Consultation Center to prevent inconvenience or disadvantageous cases.”
