Subsequently, the province and the cities and counties united their will to firmly establish the foundation of Jeonnam's agricultural policy through thorough preparation.
Along with this, each city and county shared achievements by presenting excellent policies implemented last year and key initiatives for this year.
In particular, Gangjin County's project, the first nationwide to implement the ‘Cheongjagol Flower Complex Online Direct Transaction Sales Operation,’ was introduced as an excellent case that turned crisis into hope, and each city and county decided to develop policies suited to their regional characteristics through benchmarking.
Additionally, excellent policies such as Suncheon City's ‘Support for Eco-friendly Packaging Materials at Local Food Direct Stores’ and Jangheung County's ‘Supply Support Project for Environmentally Friendly Biodegradable Mulching Film’ will be reviewed for feasibility and introduced as provincial policy projects.
Furthermore, the province decided to strengthen communication and collaboration by continuing discussions on agricultural policy issues with cities and counties to discover new policies and supplement existing ones.
Soyeongho, Director of the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Bureau of Jeonnam Province, said, “As a result of the efforts made by the province and cities and counties last year, we will strive to foster agriculture as a high value-added export industry this year to improve farmers' income and also work on nurturing young farmers. We will listen to various opinions from the field to reflect them in agricultural policies.”
