I'mwell Launches New Product 'Gamtan Burger' Using Plant-Based Meat Alternatives

Health convenient food brand I’m Well launched a new product, the 'Gamtan Burger,' using plant-based alternative meat on the 18th.

The I’m Well Gamtan Burger is designed to make starting a vegetarian diet easy. It uses a hamburger bun made from 100% plant-based ingredients with added protein powder for a healthy option, and the patty is made from high-protein alternative meat using soybeans instead of meat. Additionally, ingredients like onions and bell peppers, along with a savory sauce, create a burger that anyone can enjoy deliciously. It can be eaten immediately after about one minute of microwave cooking following thawing, making it convenient to consume.

I’m Well named it the 'Gamtan Burger' to express that the plant-based alternative meat tastes so good it makes you exclaim in admiration. The goal is to break the prejudice that vegetarian or plant-based products are tasteless and to allow everyone to enjoy vegetarianism easily and joyfully.

As awareness of climate change and environmental pollution grows, global interest in vegetarianism continues to rise. Along with increased attention to healthy eating habits, more consumers are seeking healthy and light meals rather than delivery or heavily seasoned foods, leading to active releases of vegetarian products.

As a brand pursuing healthy eating habits and lifestyles, I’m Well is expanding its vegetarian & vegan business to promote individual health improvement, animal welfare, and environmental protection. Last year, it signed an MOU for joint development of alternative meat with Biomix Co., Ltd., and is selling plant-based alternative meat products such as 'Gogi Dae-shin.' I’m Well is steadily increasing its vegetarian lineup, including protein chocolates, convenient snacks, beverages, and one-meal products developed in-house.
