Hwasun-gun Expands 'Munhwa Nuri Card' Support... 100,000 Won Per Person

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 19th that starting this year, the Integrated Cultural Voucher (Munhwa Nuri Card) support fund will be increased to 100,000 KRW per person.

Along with this, an automatic recharge system will also be implemented for user convenience.

The Integrated Cultural Voucher (Munhwa Nuri Card) is a card that supports cultural arts, domestic travel, and sports activities for basic livelihood recipients and lower-income groups aged 6 and above (born before December 31, 2015) who find it difficult to enjoy cultural life due to economic circumstances.

Automatic recharge is a system where the support fund is charged to the card held without a separate application process if the recipient maintains eligibility continuously.

The county plans to sequentially send recharge completion messages to eligible recipients on the 28th and 29th.

However, those whose card validity expired before this year, those who did not use the full amount last year, and those issued by welfare facilities will not be automatically recharged.

Recipients who are not automatically recharged, those who need reissuance due to loss, and new applicants can apply starting from the 1st of next month by visiting the nearest eup/myeon administrative welfare center or through online, mobile app, or ARS.

Eligible recipients can use the card at affiliated stores related to cultural arts, travel, and sports activities until December 31 of this year from the card issuance date, and any unused balance this year will automatically expire, so all must be used within the deadline.

A county official said, “We will do our best to issue and guide the use of the Munhwa Nuri Card so that culturally marginalized groups who find it difficult to enjoy cultural life can enjoy various cultural activities.”
