According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 19th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the region was 2,761 (including 24 imported cases), an increase of 9 cases (1 imported) from the previous day.
By region, the new confirmed cases include 4 in Pohang City, where nth-generation infections such as in Guryongpo continue to occur steadily, 3 in Gumi City, and 1 each in Goryeong and Sangju.
Among the 4 new confirmed cases in Pohang City, 3 were contacts of confirmed cases (Pohang 338, 342, 344) who tested positive on the 17th, and the other 1 was classified as a contact of a confirmed case (Pohang 321) on the 13th and tested positive during self-quarantine.
Among the 3 new confirmed cases in Gumi City, 1 was classified as a contact of a confirmed case related to a nursing academy (Gimcheon 88) and tested positive in a pre-release self-quarantine test. Another was a contact of a confirmed case from Masan, Gyeongnam, and the other was an imported case who entered from Africa.
In Goryeong County, 1 contact of 'Goryeong 24,' who was confirmed positive on the 17th after contact with a Daegu confirmed case, tested positive, and in Sangju City, 1 contact of 'Sangju 90,' confirmed on the 12th, tested positive.
In Gyeongbuk Province, over the past week, 120 people (excluding imported cases) have been confirmed positive across various areas, resulting in a weekly daily average of 17.1 confirmed cases.
