Suncheon City Women's Association President Inauguration and Farewell Ceremony Held

The 20th Chairman Lee Munja Steps Down and the 21st Chairman Choi Kyunghee Assumes Office

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Women's Association held the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Suncheon City Women's Association president on the 15th at the Life Second Act Support Center meeting room in a non-face-to-face ontact method, the association announced on the 18th.

At the inauguration and retirement ceremony, the 20th president Lee Mun-ja retired, and the 21st president Choi Kyung-hee was inaugurated.

This event, conducted non-face-to-face, included the presentation of a plaque of appreciation, retirement and inauguration speeches, as well as congratulatory video messages from Suncheon Mayor Heo Seok and the chairman of the Suncheon City Council, differing from previous years.

President Choi Kyung-hee, inaugurated as the 21st president, expressed in her inauguration speech, "I will present a clear vision for a better Women's Association and play a role in demonstrating through execution how wonderful and important women's power is." She also donated 1 million won as a development fund to the Suncheon City Women's Association.

Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon said, "I will actively cooperate so that women are not discriminated against and can shine in their respective fields, and I hope you will work together for the development of Suncheon City with women's considerate and inclusive leadership."

The Suncheon City Women's Association includes 13 organizations, including the Women's Volunteer Society, and has been leading efforts to improve women's rights, spread a culture of gender equality, and share warm love within the local community.
