"CaddiePay Card Payment Era"... KT Smartro Launches 'CaddieBank' Service

"CaddiePay Card Payment Era"... KT Smartro Launches 'CaddieBank' Service Photo by 'CaddieBank' service application image

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] A system that allows payment for golf course caddies' fees by card instead of cash is being introduced. This service is available through 'CaddieBank,' launched by Smartro, a KT group company, in collaboration with Towny Co., Ltd. For golfers, it reduces the burden of having to carry cash on-site, and for caddies, it simplifies income verification.

CaddieBank is an app service designed to resolve the inconveniences caused by cash payments between caddies and golfers. By simply registering as a member, users can make secure payments without a card or card reader. When a golfer pays the caddie fee through the app, the fee is deposited into the caddie's account within one hour. Golfers bear a nominal service fee. For caddies, instead of exchanging cash, they can receive transfers to their bank accounts in a short time, reducing the risk of loss and the hassle of deposits.

In particular, corporate clients can automatically handle proof of cash expenditures and expense processing. Additionally, from the second half of the year, caddies will be required to enroll in mandatory insurance as special employment workers, making essential personal tasks such as income reporting necessary. This service is expected to be useful for documentation tasks. CaddieBank announced that it will provide documentation services free of charge. Furthermore, golfers will receive various benefits such as golf course discount vouchers and booking privileges based on their usage. Meanwhile, CaddieBank is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
