Gyeongju City to Provide 1 Million KRW Each as 3rd Emergency Support Fund for Special Types of Workers and Freelancers... Online Applications Open from the 22nd

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongju City announced on the 18th that it will begin online applications from the 22nd for special-type workers (hereinafter 'special workers') and freelancers in the region in relation to the government's 3rd Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund.


The employment and income requirements to receive the Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund are ▲ not having received the 1st or 2nd Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund ▲ not enrolled in employment insurance in October-November of last year (exceptional support for those enrolled for 10 days or less) ▲ annual income of 50 million KRW or less in the year before last ▲ income in December 2020 or January 2021 decreased by 25% or more compared to the comparison period income.


Special workers and freelancers who meet the payment requirements will receive a lump sum payment of 1 million KRW starting from the end of next month. The payment timing may vary depending on the total number of applications.


Applications for the 3rd Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund will be accepted online from the 22nd of this month until February 1st. In-person applications will be accepted from the 28th of this month until February 1st on the 8th floor of the Gyeongju Employment Welfare Plus Center (Wonhwa-ro 396).


Park Ok-soon, Director of Job Creation Division, said, "I hope this support fund payment will help stabilize the livelihoods of special workers and freelancers who are in the blind spots of employment insurance, even if only a little," and added, "We will actively promote so that all eligible applicants can apply within the period."


Meanwhile, Gyeongju City received and processed about 5,000 applications in total through online and on-site submissions during the 1st and 2nd Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund application periods.
