KT M Mobile Launches 'Google Play Plan'

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT M Mobile has launched the ‘Google Play Partnership Plan,’ which offers a 10% discount when paying with Google Play gift codes.

According to KT M Mobile on the 18th, the newly introduced budget phone plan provides a monthly subscription add-on service that allows users to purchase Google Play gift codes at a 10% discount. The payment limit is 40,000 KRW, enabling users to receive up to 4,000 KRW in monthly discounts.

KT M Mobile will give a 30,000 KRW gift code to the first 3,000 new subscribers of the Google Play plan. Google Play gift codes can be used for ▲paid Google applications ▲in-app paid items ▲content payments such as movies and books.

The Google Play plans include three types: ▲Google Play 100GB+ (39,700 KRW/month, 100GB data) ▲Google Play 11GB+ (32,980 KRW/month, 11GB data + 2GB daily) ▲Google Play 15GB+ (25,300 KRW/month, 15GB data). All three plans allow unlimited use at a limited speed of 3~5Mbps after the basic data is exhausted.

In particular, the Google Play 11GB+ and 15GB+ plans apply the ‘Daydeuk (Data+Benefit) Promotion,’ which supports up to 100GB of additional data per month for one year. KT M Mobile plans to target the 20s and 30s generation, who mainly use mobile content such as games and OTT, by offering communication fees at about half the price of other carriers, a maximum monthly data usage of 171GB, and point payment benefits.
