Jaguar Launches Upgraded High-Performance Sports Car 'New F-TYPE'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Jaguar Land Rover Korea announced on the 18th that it will launch the facelifted model of the two-seater sports car Jaguar F-TYPE, named the Jaguar New F-TYPE.

The New F-TYPE features a clam-shell hood, a wider and more open front grille design, and newly applied slim Super LED headlights, presenting a refreshed exterior.

The clam-shell hood, which plays the most important role in the updated exterior, includes a new vent design that exudes confidence and has been reshaped to appear smoother and more elegant, giving the body a longer visual effect. The upgraded sleek Super Slim LED headlights harmonize with the refined metallic surface of the new clam-shell hood.

The interior of the New F-TYPE, adopting a cockpit structure similar to a fighter jet, offers a luxurious and sporty atmosphere simultaneously, maximizing driving enjoyment and concentration. The interior combines premium Windsor leather, satin finishes, and modern materials such as noble chrome, delivering a sophisticated finish that embodies Jaguar’s unique character.

The New F-TYPE R model, equipped with a 5.0ℓ V8 supercharged engine, integrates all elements befitting a high-performance sports car. It delivers enhanced performance with a maximum output of 575 horsepower, agile gear shifts, and optimal performance through advanced torque vectoring and adaptive dynamics systems, providing not only the visual pleasure of a Jaguar sports car but also the thrill of driving.

The New F-TYPE adopts a high-strength, ultra-lightweight aluminum monocoque body using rivet-bonding technology from aerospace engineering, providing a foundation for powerful performance.

Additionally, the advanced 5.0ℓ V8 supercharged engine produces a maximum output of 575 horsepower and peak torque of 71.4 kg·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 322 km/h. Jaguar’s innovative AWD system equipped with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) technology, electronic active differential, and torque vectoring system operate intelligently to maintain optimal traction in all weather and terrain conditions, delivering agile and bold handling and sharp cornering performance even in extreme situations.

Furthermore, the Quick Shift transmission, developed with experience from the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 high-performance model, is installed across all New F-TYPE trims. This allows the New F-TYPE R to offer faster gear shifts, more responsive handling, and superior integration.

The New F-TYPE offers three gasoline powertrains and expands choices by launching coupe and convertible bodies for four models: New F-TYPE P300, New F-TYPE P380 R-Dynamic, New F-TYPE P380 First Edition, and New F-TYPE R. The 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine in the New F-TYPE delivers a maximum output of 380 horsepower and peak torque of 46.9 kg·m, while the 2.0-liter I4 turbocharged Ingenium engine provides enhanced agility with a maximum output of 300 horsepower and peak torque of 40.8 kg·m, fully meeting the performance expectations of a sports car.
