SKT's 'V Coloring' Video Caller ID Now Available for KT Users Too

KT Customers Can Also Watch V Coloring on Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy S21 Devices

V Coloring is a service first introduced by SK Telecom in September last year, and with the business agreement (MOU) between SK Telecom and KT, KT customers will also be able to use it starting from the 22nd.

KT also introduces 'V Coloring' where videos appear when you make a call

V Coloring is a 'visible coloring' service that shows a short and concise 'short-form' video set by the customer to the caller until the call connects to the recipient's mobile phone. It has gained popularity with SK Telecom, reaching 1.15 million cumulative users and 140 million cumulative views within about three months of its launch.

Users can use the latest music videos, popular videos, or videos they have filmed themselves. V Coloring subscribers (recipients) can select videos provided in the app that are customized for the user or choose videos they have created or own to set as coloring, so the caller sees the video until the call is answered. Callers do not need to be subscribed to V Coloring; if they call using the T Phone app, they can see the video set by the other party (recipient).

Through this business agreement, starting January 22, not only existing SK Telecom customers but also KT customers can install the dedicated 'V Coloring' app and subscribe to the service. Samsung Galaxy Note20/Ultra (OEM devices) users will be able to see V Coloring videos when making calls through a device update.

From January 29, customers using the newly released Samsung Galaxy S21/Plus/Ultra (OEM devices) will also be able to use the service. KT customers can subscribe to the service through the 'V Coloring' app, the 'My KT' app, online at 'kt.com', customer centers, and retail stores.

SKT subscribers can use it for 100 won in the first month

Currently, SK Telecom offers new V Coloring subscribers the service for 100 won during the first month. Existing subscribers can also enjoy a 50% discount, using the service for 1,650 won (VAT included) until June 30 as part of a promotion. As of January, SKT's V Coloring features New Year season videos using popular celebrities like Mr. Trot Top 6, Monsta X, and popular creators such as Pengsoo, along with content from the hit audition program 'Sing Again' through a content supply contract with JTBC Studio.

Additionally, they plan to continuously secure content that users can relate to and enjoy, reflecting the 'stay-at-home trend,' legendary popular variety show videos, and Studio Lululala's 'Workman' videos.

LGU+ service integration planned in the future

Following the expansion of the service to KT customers, SK Telecom plans to integrate the service for LGU+ customers in the future. They aim to expand the business into B2B and content marketplace areas through service advancement.

Han Myung-jin, Head of Subscription Products at SK Telecom, said, “The V Coloring service is successfully establishing itself,” and added, “Starting with the joint service provision to KT customers, we will expand the service and discover trending content to make it a subscription video service loved by customers for fun and enjoyment.”
