[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won) announced on the 18th that the prices of major meat products such as Samgyeopsal, tenderloin, and sirloin were found to be up to 34% cheaper compared to large offline retailers.
According to TMON, as of the 14th, the prices of major meat products were on average about 17% cheaper than those of large offline retailers. When comparing by item, pork products such as Samgyeopsal and Moksal were on average 22% cheaper, and first-grade Korean beef prices such as sirloin and sirloin tip were 11% lower. Looking at each product, the price difference was as much as 34%.
Based on 100g units, the product with the largest price difference was pork Moksal, with a difference of up to 34%, while Samgyeopsal was 30% and Ogyeopsal was 28% cheaper. Additionally, Korean beef first-grade sirloin tip was 14% and tenderloin 12% cheaper, with TMON offering lower prices for beef as well.
Thanks to this price competitiveness, TMON explained that meat sales have increased by more than 50% compared to the same period last year over the past two weeks. The company attributed the ability to maintain more affordable prices to "minimizing distribution stages and explosive sales power through special deals on time commerce."
TMON significantly reduces distribution stages through direct transactions with reliable suppliers and reflects the saved labor and transportation costs in product prices. Additionally, by introducing special deals such as TMON Black Deal, they sell large quantities in a short period, ensuring satisfaction for both customers and partners.
