Rebuilding Integrated System Based on Latest Technologies According to e-Government Standard Framework... Accessible on Smartphones with Full Functionality for All Content

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) announced that it has completely revamped and newly opened the Seongdong-gu Office website since January this year.

The website has been redesigned with a user-centered approach to make it easier and more convenient to use anytime and anywhere.

The district website, which receives more than 5,000 visitors daily on average, has continuously played a role in providing residents with administrative information, informing them about district affairs, and communicating with them.

Accordingly, the district has made great efforts recently to revamp the website to meet the administrative demands of residents regarding the online information provided about district affairs.

First, the separately operated websites were integrated and rebuilt based on the latest technology in accordance with the e-Government standard framework. It was constructed with a flexible structure that allows easy addition or modification of menus and programs, enabling active response to the rapidly changing needs of residents.

Also, the screen functions, which had been optimized only for PCs, were applied to smartphones as well, allowing all content to be accessed without any functional restrictions.

In particular, an integrated reservation function was established where education applications, facility reservations, and event registrations can be made in one place, eliminating the inconvenience of different reception points depending on the program.

A separate website for new fields will also be prepared. A new Culture and Tourism website has been opened, making it easy to check Seongdong-gu’s tourist attractions, festival events, and themed travel courses.

Additionally, the Seongdong News website was established to share opinions through social networks such as Facebook and YouTube, allowing immediate access to Seongdong-gu news and newsletter information, thereby strengthening communication and participation functions.

Notably, the ‘Untact Civil Service Office,’ which is the first in the nation to consolidate civil document applications in one place, is also noteworthy. For visitors to the civil service office, the waiting status of clients at the Happiness Civil Service Office on the first floor can be checked in real time, allowing civil petitioners to avoid crowded times.

The cultural tourism website has been newly launched, making it easy to check Seongdong-gu's tourist attractions, festival events, and themed travel courses.

Also, sites such as ‘Government24’ and ‘Electronic Family Relationship Registration’ are linked with a single click, making civil application submissions easier.
