Park Woo-ryang, Shinan County Governor, Joins the 'Expecting Local Autonomy' Challenge

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Sinan-gun (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 13th that it participated in the 'Expecting Local Autonomy Challenge' on the 12th to prepare for the era of Local Autonomy 2.0.

Governor Park Woo-ryang received the designation from Jeong Hyun-bok, mayor of the sister city Gwangyang-si, and on the 12th, held a sign engraved with 'Local Autonomy with Sinan Residents' in his office, conveying the aspirations of Sinan residents for local autonomy.

This challenge is a relay campaign to deliver the core message of local autonomy, such as the determination to prepare for the era of local autonomy, triggered by the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act and the Local Police Management Act in the National Assembly on December 9 last year.

Governor Park Woo-ryang said, "Sinan-gun is recognized as an excellent case of resident autonomy by realizing the 'Renewable Energy Development Profit Sharing System,' where the development profits of renewable energy are shared between companies and residents through cooperation with residents, the first in the nation. This event was received more meaningfully," and added, "We will do our best for the development of grassroots democracy and local autonomy together with residents in the future."

Governor Park Woo-ryang of Sinan-gun nominated Kim Sang-ho, mayor of Hanam-si, Jeong Jang-seon, mayor of Pyeongtaek-si, and Park Jeong-hyun, governor of Buyeo-gun, as the next participants to accompany him for local autonomy.
