Support for Over 132,000 Public Jobs, Strengthening Youth-Friendly Job Foundations
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that it will focus administrative efforts on job issues and labor welfare improvement under the ideology of "Jobs are the best welfare."
First, the province plans to support about 132,000 public jobs this year.
To this end, it will create 1,978 region-led youth customized jobs and provide incentives to companies hiring local youth and youth returning to Gyeongnam.
The province will also expand the "Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project," a region-led job project for areas at risk of employment crises.
Through this project, the plan is to train manufacturing industry unemployed workers into smart technology talents leading the smart and green New Deal.
For small businesses with fewer than 50 employees, which are blind spots in government support measures, the province will implement a four major insurance premium support project for those not enrolled in existing employment insurance.
Additionally, it will support liability insurance premiums for substitute drivers.
By providing practical support to those excluded from various support policies due to non-recognition of worker status, the province aims to contribute to expanding their employment and social safety nets.
Kim Heeyong, Director of the Job Economy Bureau of the province, stated, "The province is making every effort this year to create a Gyeongnam without job worries," adding, "We will do our best to create a virtuous cycle structure that maintains household economy through wage income, revitalizes neighborhood markets, and activates the regional economy."
