'Pro Soccer' Gimcheon Sangmu FC Completes Appointment of 'Kim Tae-wan Squad' Coaching Staff The coaching staff leading Gimcheon Sangmu Professional Football Club has been assembled. Head coach Im Gwansik, coaches Seong Hansu and Kim Chiwoo, and goalkeeper coach Kwak Sangdeuk will join manager Kim Taewan in 2021.

According to Kimcheon City on the 12th, Head Coach Im Gwan-sik, Coaches Seong Han-su and Kim Chi-woo, and GK Coach Kwak Sang-deuk will join Manager Kim Tae-wan in 2021.


Head Coach Im Gwan-sik debuted in 1998 with Jeonnam Dragons and, except for three seasons from 2004 to 2006 at Busan, played eight seasons only for Jeonnam. He is a veteran with a total of 255 appearances in the K League.


After retiring from Jeonnam in 2008, he started coaching at Mokpo City Hall in 2009, then Gwangju FC in 2012, and became the head coach of Honam University football team in 2013. Afterwards, he served as coach and head coach of Jeonnam Dragons in 2015 and was the head coach of Sangju Sangmu in 2020.


Coach Seong Han-su joined Daejeon Citizen as the first pick in the 1999 draft. He then transferred to Jeonnam in 2002, recording 8 goals and 3 assists in 59 league appearances until 2004.


From 2005 to 2007, he played for Changwon City FC. After retiring, he began his coaching career at Hanmin University (closed) in 2007, then coached at Honam University in 2012. After serving as manager, he led K3 Seoul Jungnang FC to an undefeated championship in 2017.


Coach Kim Chi-woo debuted in 2004 with Incheon and played for Jeonnam, Seoul, Sangju, and Busan, making 380 appearances over 16 years. Notably, he was a one-club man at Seoul, appearing in 180 matches over nine years. Moreover, Coach Kim demonstrated his skills as a player by playing 25 matches for Busan until 2019.


Goalkeeper Coach Kwak Sang-deuk had a brief playing career starting in 1988 with Champ Tongsang semi-professional football team and quickly pursued a coaching path. He coached Seongnam Ilhwa U-12 in 2002, then at Dongbuk Middle and High Schools, and joined Kyung Hee University as GK coach in 2010. From 2011 to 2013, he coached at Suwon Facilities Management Corporation, and from 2014 to 2020, he served as GK coach for Sangju Sangmu Professional Football Club.


Meanwhile, the support staff for the 2021 season with Kimcheon Sangmu includes medical trainer Guseong Hoon, physical therapist Kim Young-hyo, and performance analyst Lee Geon-mok.
