Hanwha Techwin Signs MOU with Egyptian Government... Security Solution Supply Hanwha Techwin signed an MOU with the Egyptian government on the 29th and agreed to supply CCTV for local government projects. [Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hanwha Techwin, a subsidiary of Hanwha Aerospace, announced on the 12th that it has signed a business cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production to supply security solutions including CCTV.

Hanwha Techwin is the first domestic security company to sign an MOU with the Egyptian government. Based on this, Hanwha Techwin plans to supply CCTV to more than 10 major cities in Egypt to establish security systems for key facility protection, crime and accident prevention.

Additionally, by enabling some quantities to be assembled and produced locally through Banha, an electronics manufacturing company under the Egyptian government, a long-term cooperative relationship has been established.

Hanwha Techwin explained that the brand power of 'Hanwha Techwin,' which has expanded into over 100 countries worldwide, along with industry-leading image quality and cybersecurity capabilities, were key factors in signing this MOU.

Hanwha Techwin provides clear images through various image correction functions such as shake prevention and backlight compensation based on its self-developed video processing semiconductor chip (SoC). Last year, it also launched the world's first 8K resolution CCTV. In addition, it has obtained the international cybersecurity certification 'UL CAP,' which certifies its ability to safely protect cameras and video data from external access such as hacking.

A Hanwha Techwin official said, "It is meaningful that we have established a cooperative relationship with government agencies from a long-term perspective rather than a one-time order," adding, "This has laid the groundwork for winning future government-led projects locally."
