[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]The Veterans Association criticized on the 11th that some retired generals denying the results of the U.S. presidential election is an anti-national act that damages the ROK-US alliance.
The Veterans Association pointed out in a statement released that day, "Some military veteran organizations, including the Republic of Korea Defense Veterans General Corps, have recently participated in the 4·15 Election Fraud National Struggle Headquarters and are endorsing conspiracy theories about fraud in the U.S. presidential election."
It added, "Regardless of the country, elections are a matter of sovereignty in a democratic nation, and in the case of the United States, it is a matter for the American people themselves to decide, and we should not interfere," and "The irresponsible actions of some retired generals will never be tolerated by the public."
The Veterans Association stated, "We are facing a grave national security crisis due to COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus Disease), the change of administration in the United States, and the increased nuclear missile threat in the 10th year of Kim Jong-un's rule in North Korea," and added, "Anti-national treasonous acts that endanger national security by damaging the ROK-US alliance and scheming to divide public opinion must be stopped immediately."
