Hyundai Construction Wins First Contract of the Year for 'Yongin Suji Sinjeong Village 9 Complex Remodeling'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Hyundai Engineering & Construction has independently secured the remodeling project for Sinjeong Village 9 Complex in Suji, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. This marks the first urban maintenance project contract of the year.

On the 10th, Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced that it was selected as the final contractor at the temporary general meeting held by the Sinjeong Village 9 Complex Remodeling Maintenance Project Association in Dongcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province on the 9th to select the construction company.

The Sinjeong Village 9 Complex Remodeling Maintenance Project in Suji-gu, Yongin-si is a project to remodel the Sinjeong Village 9 Complex Jugong Apartments, located in Pungdeokcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, which currently consists of 9 buildings from basement level 1 to 20 floors above ground with 812 households, by expanding it to 9 buildings from basement level 3 to 23 floors above ground with 914 households. The construction cost is 228 billion KRW.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction stated that the complex will be named "Hillstate Great Nine" and will feature high-end amenities, advanced specialized designs, and premium finishing materials. Plans include introducing an advanced sky lounge, large community spaces, kid-specialized areas, 100% underground parking ratio, and 3-bay, 3-sided open floor plans.

Sinjeong Village 9 Complex in Suji, Yongin is within walking distance of Suji-gu Office Station on the Shinbundang Line. Shinwol Elementary School is located right next to the complex, providing excellent transportation and educational environments. Nearby are Sinjeong Park, Jeongpyeongcheon Stream, the district office, library, and large supermarkets.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction formed a dedicated remodeling organization within its Housing Business Headquarters in December last year to strengthen its capabilities. It is actively enhancing its competitiveness in new sectors by jointly securing the remodeling project for Hyundai Sungwoo 8 Complex in Suji, Yongin with POSCO Engineering & Construction.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Engineering & Construction recorded its highest-ever performance last year with orders totaling 4.7383 trillion KRW, ranking first in domestic urban maintenance project contracts.
