On the 9th, announcer Kim revealed on her personal YouTube channel 'Sumanggu TV' vlog that she would be making a special appearance in the drama ‘Penthouse 2’ and began rehearsing her script.
The scene was edited in fast-forward, so the dialogue was not audible. However, some online communities edited the rehearsal video in slow motion and transcribed the lines, sparking controversy.
Although the dialogue was not audible in the video posted by announcer Kim, it was said that by playing the video slowly, the dialogue could be understood. One netizen in the community even posted specific details, claiming to have transcribed the lines after slowing down Kim’s rehearsal video.
As related posts spread through SNS and the controversy grew, announcer Kim deleted all content on her YouTube channel, including the related videos, and set her SNS accounts to private.
The drama 'Penthouse,' which ended its first season on the 5th, is scheduled to premiere Season 2 on the 29th. Announcer Kim, who is making a special appearance in 'Penthouse 2,' joined SBS in 2018 as the youngest announcer and has hosted programs such as 'SBS Ani Gallery,' 'Full-scale Entertainment Night,' and 'Tok Tok Information Brunch.'
