[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Smart optical tech company IL Science announced on the 8th that it will showcase Polinique’s ‘Microcurrent LED Scalp Care Device’ at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2021, starting on the 11th.
CES is the world’s largest IT exhibition, with over 1,000 global companies participating. The technologies and products introduced at CES comprehensively reflect the cutting-edge trends in the IT industry for the year. Especially this year, with increased attention on the ‘new normal’ brought about by the impact of COVID-19 and technological advancements, the competition for innovation is fierce. Among these, healthcare technologies are expected to attract significant attention at CES 2021.
IL Science plans to widely promote its patented microcurrent technology through videos and photos of Polinique products at the digital showcase in the Korean Pavilion operated by KOTRA from the 11th to the 14th. This product, when used once daily in total care mode for 20 minutes, helps optimize scalp and hair condition by promoting blood circulation and cell regeneration. Weighing approximately 400g, it offers excellent comfort and, being wireless, allows for mobility and daily activities during use.
Polinique’s ‘Microcurrent LED Scalp Care Device’ has received Class II approval from the U.S. FDA, corresponding to the level of home medical devices. Additionally, clinical trials commissioned last year by the Korean Dermatological Science Institute verified its effectiveness in key hair loss-related areas, including a 61% increase in scalp microcirculation, 9.96% improvement in hair thickness, 22.90% enhancement in hair tensile strength, and 37.52% reduction in scalp sebum.
Song Seong-geun, CEO of IL Science, stated, “Through participation in this exhibition, we plan to widely promote the innovation of K-Beauty and accelerate our entry into the global market. We will lead the market with innovative technology utilizing microcurrent.”
